1

Who we are

This website is operated by Shivansh Group of Schools ("Shivansh", "we", "us"), with its head office at the head office address shown on our Contact page.

This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and through admission enquiries. It is published in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2

Information we collect

We only collect information that we need. This may include:

  • Admission enquiries: parent's name, child's name, class applying for, phone number, email and city, submitted through our enquiry form.
  • Messages: details you share when you call, email or write to us.
  • Job applications: the CV and details you email us when applying for a job, used only for recruitment.
  • Admission documents (collected at the school, not on this website): birth certificate, report cards, transfer certificate, photographs, address proof and Aadhaar. You may give us a masked Aadhaar copy showing only the last four digits.
  • Basic website usage: pages visited, device and browser type and approximate country, measured with privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies or identify you.

We do not track your location, and we do not collect payment details on this website.

3

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and arrange campus visits.
  • To process admissions and keep student records.
  • To share important updates about admissions and school life with parents.
  • To keep this website secure and improve how it works.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

4

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with trusted service providers who help us run this website and our admissions process:

  • PickMySchool, our official admission enquiry partner, which provides the enquiry form on this website and receives the details you submit in it.
  • Website hosting and storage providers (Vercel, MongoDB and Supabase), which host the site, its content and its images.
  • Google, which provides the map on our Contact page and the fonts used on this website.

Some of these providers may store data on servers outside India. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example to a court or government authority.

5

Children's information

Under Indian law, anyone under 18 is a child. Information about a child is provided to us by their parent or guardian, and we treat that as the parent's consent. We do not track children or show them targeted advertising.

We publish students' names, photographs and results (for example on our Academic Results page) only with their parent's consent. A parent can ask us to remove them at any time.

6

Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies. Our analytics do not use cookies. The embedded Google Map and the PickMySchool enquiry form may set their own cookies, which are covered by Google's and PickMySchool's privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

7

How long we keep it

  • Enquiry data is kept for 1 year from the date of the enquiry, then deleted.
  • Records of enrolled students are kept for as long as required by law and by the school's board.
8

How we protect it

We use reasonable security practices to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access limited to authorised staff. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if we become aware of a problem.

9

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you or your child.
  • Correct or update information that is inaccurate.
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time (this will not affect anything done before you withdrew it).
  • Nominate someone to act on your behalf.
